Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) got close to another pseudo-psychic detective, only to see her get kidnapped by archenemy Red John in May’s season 2 finale. “You’ll find out what happens to her in the first three episodes,” assures exec producer Bruno Heller. A new cranky über-boss (Damages’ Michael Gaston) will create drama, Agent Lisbon (Robin Tunney) will get a love interest, and another man will come between Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti). But who—and where—is Red John? “Jane is getting a little closer to the truth,” says Heller. “He can smell blood.”
